Getting Started
Should I get Christmas lights or permanent lighting?
It depends on what you want. Christmas lights are the classic look for the season, and we put them up and take them down every year. Permanent lighting stays up all year and changes color from your phone. We’re happy to talk through both when we come out.
How much does it cost?
Every house is different, so we come out, measure and give you a free quote. For Christmas lights, the price depends on how much roofline you want lit, how high it is, the trees and shrubs you want wrapped, and whether you add wreaths and garland. For permanent lighting, it mostly depends on how much roofline you want lit and how many stories the house has.

Do you work with businesses?
Yes. Both services are for businesses as well as homes. See our commercial work.
Who does the work?
Our own crew. The same people who give you the quote are the ones who do the work.
Christmas Lights
Do I own the lights?
Yes. The lights we make for your house are yours. After we take them down in January, you keep them for next season.
Can you hang lights I already have?
Yes. We can hang your lights so long as they fit your house.
When do the lights go up and come down?
We install in November and December and take everything down in January. Install dates go in the order people book.
How long does installation take?
Anywhere from an hour or two to a full day, depending on the size of the display.
Do I need to be home?
No. We can do the whole install while you’re out.
Will it damage my roof or gutters?
No. Everything is clipped on. We don’t use nails or screws.
Do the lights turn on by themselves?
Yes. We add timers, so the lights come on and go off on their own every night.
Can I mix colors?
Yes. C9 bulbs come in warm white, pure white and cool white, plus red, green, blue, orange and purple. You can use one color, a multicolor mix or your own pattern.
What if something goes out during the season?
Call or text us and we’ll come back and fix it.
Do you do Diwali lights?
Yes. Diwali falls in late October or early November, and we put the lights up in time for it. Book early, since that’s right before our Christmas season starts.
Permanent Lighting
Can you see the lights during the day?
Barely. Like any outdoor lights, they’re made to be seen at night.
Can you install permanent lights other times of the year?
Yes, they can be installed any time of the year and used for any holiday or occasion, big or small.
Do they stay up in the winter?
Yes. They stay up all year, so you can use them for Christmas without anyone getting on the roof.
How do I change the colors?
With the Pixel Dancer app on your phone. Pick a color or effect, or schedule shows ahead of time so the lights change on their own.
Is there a warranty?
Yes. It covers both the lights and our installation. We’ll go through the details when we give you your quote.
How much power do they use?
It depends on the length of the track. A 120-foot track uses about 40 watts at full brightness, about the same as four LED light bulbs. With effects running, it uses even less.
