Privacy Policy

Light It Up installs Christmas lights and permanent lighting. This page explains what information this website collects, why, and what you can do about it.
What We Collect
When you send a quote request, we collect what you type in the form: your name, email and/or phone number, street address, ZIP code, which service you’re interested in, and any message.
Along with each request, the form also records the IP address, browser and type of device it was sent from. This helps us spot spam.
When you send a quote request, Google reCAPTCHA checks that it’s coming from a person and not a spam bot. To do that, it collects information about your browser and device and sends it to Google.
Like most websites, our server keeps basic logs of visits (IP address, browser, the page requested and the time) to keep the site running and secure.
How We Use It
We use your details to get back to you, visit and measure, give you a quote and schedule the work.
We don’t sell or rent your information, and we don’t add you to a mailing list.
Who Else Handles It
We use a few service providers to run the website. They handle your information only to provide their service to us:
DigitalOcean hosts the website and its database, in the United States.
Mailgun delivers the email that tells us a quote request came in.
Google provides Google Analytics, which shows us how visitors use the site, Google Ads, which we use to advertise, and reCAPTCHA, which blocks spam on our quote form. Google’s use of this information is covered by the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Cookies and Advertising
We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit the site, which pages they look at and how they found us. It sets cookies in your browser to tell visits apart. It doesn’t tell us who you are.
We also use advertising cookies from Google Ads to measure whether our ads lead to quote requests and to show our ads to people who have visited this site before. You can turn this off below under Ad Choices.
You can also opt out of personalized Google ads at Google Ads Settings, opt out of many companies’ targeted ads at optout.aboutads.info, stop Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out add-on, or block cookies in your browser.
WordPress only sets its own cookies when someone logs in to manage the site.
Some pages link to other sites, such as the App Store, Google Play, YouTube and Minleon. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
How Long We Keep It
We keep quote requests for as long as we need them to respond to you and for our customer records. Server logs and copies of our notification emails are deleted automatically after 14 days.
Your Choices
You can ask us what information we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Call or text (732) 889-0755.
Children
This site isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top.
Ad Choices
You can turn off ad tracking on this site. Google Analytics will still count your visit, but Google Ads won’t set advertising cookies or add you to the groups of past visitors we show ads to. Your choice is saved in this browser, so set it again on any other browser or device you use.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as an opt-out automatically.
